HEATERS AND HEATING ELEMENTS
As of March 1, 2021, changes related to energy classes came into effect. All components that are responsible for power consumption in the final device should be highly energy efficient. All this to meet the latest requirements. In addition, it is important to remember to "eco-design" all appliances so that any of them can be easily repaired at the time of failure. This is to increase the run time of electrical, industrial equipment and better efficiency. Heaters are one of those items that can help reduce the amount of electricity you use.
PTC heaters are used for condensate evaporation. The material from which they are manufactured is high quality acid resistant steel AISI-316, and the products can be purchased separately or in a set with a wide range of containers for condensate evaporation.
The main advantage of PTC heaters is their self-regulation. The heater regulates the amount of current drawn depending on demand. This is an intelligent behavior that allows the energy efficiency of the refrigeration unit in which we install the heater, from the side of the company as well as the customer this is a very important issue to reduce electricity costs.
Stainless steel AISI - 316 or Incoloy
It has almost the same physical and mechanical properties as AISI 304 steel and contains a similar material composition. What really distinguishes AISI - 316 stainless steel? The primary difference is that 316 stainless steel contains several percent molybdenum. The addition of molybdenum (Mo) is responsible for improving corrosion resistance compared to the equivalent 304 stainless steel. It is simply acid resistant, which results in longer heater life.
Certificates and variants
The electric heaters are EN 60335 standard. Depending on the supply voltage, 230 V type heaters are CE certified. The second variant, i. e. 110 V, is UL certified. Different heater voltages allow you to tailor the product to the needs of your market.
One of the heating elements that are usually used in the so-called self-service - dispensing lines, where the customer serves himself. Silicone mats consist of a silicone heating part with adhesive tape that is placed on a fiberglass mesh. Materials used for production are safe and have EU certificates. There are two variants on offer, namely mats with or without thermostat. Depending on your needs, we can also personalize the power and size of the heating element. Due to the fact that they are self-adhesive products, installation is much quicker than with traditional industrial tubular heaters. In addition, silicone matting is a much safer alternative to tube heaters reducing labor time during installation.
Tubular heaters are most often used in the drip tray under the evaporator. These are places where we cannot use products such as silicone mats, and for this purpose tubular heating elements work well. AiFO makes these products to individual customer specifications. It is possible to adjust the length and power of the heater according to your needs.
These electrical components can be fitted with an outer braid to give additional mechanical protection and cable grounding. Various power ratings from 10 to 60 W/m are available from stock. There is a possibility to buy it together with a set for making a cable.
