Expansion adapter (35x35 mm, 40x40 mm) SR-AR-4 – how to choose the right one
The SR-AR-4 expansion adapter allows a castor to be fitted into a square profile of 35 × 35 mm or 40 × 40 mm. It is made of grey polyamide, and the catalogue load for three pieces is 250 kg.
Covering two profile sizes with a single index has a practical value when servicing a mixed fleet of appliances – there is no need to keep two separate items in stock to cover both frames.
It is worth checking the profile with a gauge, though, and not by eye. The five-millimetre difference between 35 and 40 mm is hard to judge visually in practice, especially when the frame is powder-coated and covered by a worktop.

Yes, the manufacturer describes SR-AR-4 for both 35 × 35 and 40 × 40 mm. The expansion is wide enough to cover both sizes – provided the profile has a typical wall thickness.
Will the adapter replace an adjustable leg in the same structure?
It will not replace it, because it has no height adjustment at all. It is, however, sometimes used alongside one in the same frame: some support points get castors, some stay on legs so that the appliance can be held still.
