Door damper (grey) ZT-AFGR – how to choose the right one
ZT-AFGR is a nylon buffer in grey, damping the noise of slamming doors and fronts. It is added to an existing unit, without replacing the hinge and without interfering with the closing mechanism.
Grey is a workshop-neutral colour. On steel, on board in a dark finish and on a technical body the part does not contrast, and it also shows dirt less than its light-coloured counterpart – which in the back of house is sometimes the deciding argument.
The nylon tip works mechanically at every closing. The manufacturer declares no service life, so on heavily used doors it is better to assume from the outset that it will eventually need replacing.

Will nylon withstand washing with back-of-house agents?
It is a plastic resistant to water and to typical kitchen chemicals, so regular washing does it no harm. It stands up less well to impact at low temperature, which is why with freezer rooms it is worth asking about the selection.
