Deck-mounted pre-rinse spray tap (3/8") AG-1/05FB – how to choose the right one
AG-1/05FB is a single-hole pre-rinse spray tap with a 3/8 inch connection, with self-lubricating heads and a swivel spout, mounted in a hole 35 mm in diameter. The hose is guided by a steel spring in blue.
The colour of the spring is sometimes used to tell stations apart in a large dishwashing area – it is easier to say "the one by the blue spring" than to quote a part number. Apart from the colour the model matches the 05FE version from the same AG-1 family.
The AG-1 family is built on self-lubricating heads, which the manufacturer describes as non-seizing. It is a solution for stations in continuous use, where the handles are opened and closed hundreds of times a day and the resistance building up over time is the worst nuisance.

Ask a questionDoes the blue spring change anything besides the appearance?
The manufacturer's data shows no technical difference – it is the same steel spring in a different finish. If, however, the plant has its own colour-coding system, choosing the FB version can be a deliberate decision rather than a matter of aesthetics.
How does AG-1/05FB differ from AG-1FB?
In the equipment: the 05FB version has a swivel spout, AG-1FB does not. The heads, the 3/8 inch connection and the 35 mm mounting hole are the same in both.
