Deck-mounted tap with an automatic spray head (3/8") AG-1/05SPC – how to choose the right one
AG-1/05SPC is a deck-mounted tap with an automatic spray head, with a swivel spout and self-lubricating heads, mounted in a 35 mm hole on a 3/8 inch connection. The movement of the gun is damped by a gas spring, and a ball joint works between the hose and the spray head.
Automatic shut-off of the supply changes the way work at the sink is done. The water runs only while the gun is being held, so putting it down halfway through a task does not end with a stream pouring into an empty bowl for several minutes.
A gas spring replaces the classic steel spring here: it guides the hose smoothly, without a jerk when released, and puts the gun back in the same place. At a station operated hundreds of times a day this is a difference in comfort, but also fewer knocks of the gun against the steel worktop.

Ask a questionHow does the automatic shut-off of the supply work?
The water flows only while the lever of the gun is pressed – releasing the handle cuts the stream without reaching for the handles. The tap handles then set the temperature rather than the moment the water is turned on.
What is the ball joint at the spray head for?
It allows the gun to be turned relative to the hose in any direction instead of twisting the hose itself. As a result the braid does not coil into loops and does not work in torsion, which is what destroys it fastest.
How does this model differ from AG-1SPC?
In the swivel spout. AG-1/05SPC has it in the list, AG-1SPC does not – the remaining elements, including the joint, the gas spring and the self-lubricating heads, are described identically.
