Tubular heaters – to the customer's specification GK-GR – how to choose the right one
GK-GR tubular heaters are made to the customer's specification. The outside diameter is Ø6.5 mm or Ø8.5 mm, and the tube material is chosen from AISI-304, AISI-316 and AISI-321 steels and the INCOLOY alloy.
The choice of material matters more here than in the catalogue versions, because it covers four levels of resistance instead of one. The more aggressive the working environment, the higher up that list you go.
The thinner Ø6.5 mm tube widens the room for manoeuvre with tight shapes and narrow trays – the other heaters in the range come only in Ø8.5 mm. That is the most common reason an order lands on this item.

When should INCOLOY be reached for instead of AISI-304?
In the harshest working conditions – it is the highest level of resistance among the materials available here. In a typical drip tray AISI-304 is usually enough.
Is it possible to order a single unit?
The data sheet does not state a minimum order quantity. For one-off versions it is worth settling this together with the quotation, because it affects the unit price.
