Handle (without lock) KK-520 – how to choose the right one
KK-520 is a cold room door handle without a lock, with a grey composite housing and a black grip. The mechanism is made of galvanised steel, and the fitting can be mounted on either the left or the right leaf.
Interchangeability of sides matters above all in servicing. One product code in stock covers both door hands, so a technician going out to a breakdown doesn't need to know in advance which way the customer's cold room opens.
The handle is complemented by a catch, i.e. the keep on the frame side. The manufacturer does not assign it a single size – it is specified when placing the order. A 17 mm composite spacer is also available separately.

The housing and grip are identical, the difference is in the mechanism. The standard version works with galvanised steel, the HP with stainless – the latter is chosen where the fitting is in constant damp and is regularly washed down.
How do you know which keep to order for this handle?
You have to measure it on your own door. Catches for the KK-520/521 family are described in ranges from 27-43 mm right up to 127-213 mm, so without a dimension from the installation site, selection is guesswork.
What is the optional 17 mm spacer for?
It moves the handle body seventeen millimetres away from the door plane. It's made of composite and is ordered under its own product code – it is not included in the price of the fitting.
