Handle and catch KL-560 – how to choose the right one
The KL-560 handle and catch has a chrome-plated ZnAl5 alloy housing, a grip coated in black Rilsan and a catch in black polyamide. The manufacturer describes it as a version without a lock.
The Rilsan coating on the handle changes how it feels in the hand. In a cold room the metal and the coating are at the same temperature, but the plastic conducts heat much less, so it feels less cold – on a unit opened dozens of times a day the difference is noticeable.
The black polyamide catch completes the same idea: the moving part is not metal. The contrast of black against the chrome-plated housing is sometimes also a visual choice, because the handle stays clearly visible on a light-coloured front.
