Plug KP-M-MLP – how to choose the right one
KP-M-MLP is a rubber plug intended for the KP-M-ML angled drain, used in refrigerated furniture and units. It is made of black, hardened rubber.
Rubber works better in this role than plastic, since it conforms to the socket under pressure and needs no thread. The plug is pressed in, and the seal comes from the material itself.
In practice it is needed most often at two moments: when transporting a unit with residual water in the pan, and when a piece of furniture is standing before being connected to the floor drain.

Is a rubber plug suitable for permanently closing a drain?
Rubber hardens over time and loses its give, so a threaded blanking cap works better as a permanent solution. The plug is meant to be taken off and put back on, not left in place for years.
