KZ-KO10IL is a stainless steel 1/2 inch drain plug 30 mm long, with Allen key adjustment and a type A designation.

Within one thread the manufacturer carries three lengths, and this is the longest. The choice between them is settled by trial fitting: what counts is the thickness of the wall plus the margin needed for the nut.

A practical tip for ordering: it is easier to work with a plug that is too short than one that is too long. An over-long component protrudes under the bowl and is exposed to knocks during work in the cabinet.

How is the length of a plug matched to a particular bowl?

Measure the thickness of the wall at the point of fitting and add a margin for the nut. Only that total shows which of the three 1/2 inch thread variants will be right.

Is a longer plug more universal?

No, because in a thin wall it simply protrudes. Universality is sought in a matching thread, not in excess length.
