Pedal waste bin (50 l) KZ-KOSZP50 – how to choose the right one
Bin KZ-KOSZP50 is a waste container with a capacity of 50 litres, made of AISI-304 stainless steel and opened by a foot pedal. The lid rises under the pressure of a foot and drops back when the pressure is released.
Fifty litres is a size to be placed at a particular workstation: in the vegetable prep room, by the portioning table, at the pass. A chef comes up with both hands full – a board, a container, a pan of scraps – and opens the bin without putting anything down on the worktop.
The smaller body has one more advantage, remembered only when the time comes to carry it out. Kitchen waste weighs considerably more than paper or packaging, so in catering the limit of a comfortable lift falls lower than the number of litres suggests.

In capacity, not at all – both hold 50 litres. What differs is the way they open: here the lid is raised by a pedal lever, in KZ-KOSZ50 it is lifted by hand.
How much room does the pedal mechanism take up?
The pedal itself sits within the outline of the base, but it needs free travel downwards. The bin should therefore not be pushed up against a plinth with its front wall, nor blocked with crates.
When does fifty litres stop being enough?
When vegetables are being prepared, a bin of this size fills up in a matter of tens of minutes; with packaging it will last half a shift. Two such bins sometimes prove more convenient than one of ninety litres, because each is carried out separately.
