Waste bin with a lid (90 l) KZ-KOSZ90 – how to choose the right one
KZ-KOSZ90 is a waste bin with a capacity of 90 litres in AISI-304 stainless steel, closed with a hand-lifted lid. It is the largest of the three sizes offered in this family of bins.
The ninety most often serves as a collection bin: it takes the sacks from the smaller containers distributed around the workstations. That way it is emptied once a shift rather than several times during service.
The mass of the contents has to be reckoned with, though. A full sack of this capacity is rarely carried comfortably by one person, which is why the bin is placed as close as possible to the route out – not deep inside the kitchen, but by the exit to the back of house or by the loading bay.

Dragging a full body across the floor damages both the floor and the base of the bin. At this capacity the sack is taken out first and only then is the container itself moved.
When is it better to choose two bins rather than one of 90 litres?
When waste is generated at two points far apart in the kitchen. Carrying scraps across the whole room to one large bin costs more than a second container.
Does the lid close properly with a full sack?
Only when the sack is folded over the edge and the waste does not rise above the rim. A bin filled beyond the brim loses its seal whatever its capacity.
