Mixer tap (3/8") stainless AG-MF1 – how to choose the right one
The AG-MF1 mixer tap is made entirely of AISI-304 stainless steel – this is not a chrome-plated part but solid material right through. The connection is 3/8 inch, the mounting hole Ø35 mm, and the catalogue flow rate is from 26 to 32 l/min.
The difference from chrome-plated tapware only shows after years of cleaning. A chrome coating is a layer which can be worn through or damaged by an abrasive agent; in stainless steel there is nothing to wear through, because the material is uniform from the surface inwards.
AISI-304 is the same grade of steel from which catering worktops and sinks are made. A tap of this material therefore does not create at the station a pair of metals behaving differently under the same cleaning chemicals.

Uniformity. Chrome is a layer applied onto another metal, so damaging it exposes the substrate, whereas solid material has no such weak point. With daily cleaning using professional chemicals this is the most common reason for choosing the inox version.
Three inox models in the range have the same data – how to choose?
The data sheets for AG-MF1, AG-MF2 and AG-MF3 do not differ in any published parameter, so the distinction comes down to the shape and the design, which the description does not specify. Before ordering it is worth asking for a photograph or a drawing of the particular part number.
