Monoblock for a 400 refrigerated cabinet (-2°C / +10°C) MB-SZ-MBP-7PLV22/400G – how to choose the right one

MB-SZ-MBP-7PLV22/400G serves a refrigerated cabinet with a volume of 400 l within a range of –2°C / +10°C. The capacity is 280 W** at 170 W** of energy consumption, the refrigerant is R290 with a charge of 45 g, and the mounting aperture measures 435 x 190 mm.

This is the most economical entry in the family of cabinet monoblocks: no other version has such a low declared power draw or such a small refrigerant charge. It follows from combining a small chamber with an operating range in the region of zero.

Despite the positive upper limit, thawing is carried out with hot gas, because the lower setting drops to –2°C. Frost builds up more slowly in this kind of operation than in freezing, but it does not disappear by itself in every break.

How to choose a monoblock for the volume and the mounting location – we explained it in the selection guide for this category.

Where it works

  • Compact refrigerated cabinets in back-of-house areas
  • Furniture with product requiring a temperature just above zero
  • Retail outlets with a small stock of goods
  • Installations where low energy consumption counts

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have not found your answer? Give the volume and the temperature range – we will select the monoblock.

Ask a question
How does it differ from the 400 l freezer version?

In the operating range and the energy balance. The freezer version goes down to –20°C and draws 270 W*, while this one stops at –2°C with 170 W** drawn.

Is 45 g of refrigerant a small amount?

It is the lowest value in this family and follows from the size of the circuit. A smaller hydrocarbon charge simplifies the requirements for the installation location, although the installation rules given by the manufacturer always apply.

Does it fit a cabinet with a 510 x 385 mm aperture?

Not without modifying the panel. This index requires a 435 x 190 mm cut-out, the one provided for the 400 l versions.
