Monoblock for a 700 refrigerated cabinet (-2°C / +10°C) MB-SZ-MBP-6PLV22/700G – how to choose the right one

MB-SZ-MBP-6PLV22/700G cools a cabinet with a volume of 700 l within a range of –2°C / +10°C, with a capacity of 342 W** and an energy consumption of 201 W**. The system runs on R290 with a charge of 65 g, and the evaporator thaws with hot gas.

The same cabinet body is served by three versions: freezer LBP, refrigeration MBP and high-temperature HBP. The choice determines what may be stored in the furniture, and also the electricity bill – at this volume the freezer version declares 385 W* of consumption against 201 W** here.

The lower limit of –2°C makes it possible to hold products that need a temperature just below zero without forcing the system into freezer operation. That is the typical compromise in general-purpose furniture.

How to choose a monoblock for the volume and the mounting location – we explained it in the selection guide for this category.

Where it works

  • Refrigerated cabinets in kitchens and shop back rooms
  • Storing meat and fish that need a temperature close to zero
  • General-purpose furniture with a chamber of around 700 l
  • Replacing the module in a cabinet with a 510 x 385 mm aperture

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have not found your answer? Give the volume and the temperature range – we will select the monoblock.

Ask a question
Can this module be swapped for a freezer one later on?

Mechanically yes, because the cut-out is shared. You do have to check the insulation of the cabinet, though – a body intended for refrigeration work rarely has panels thick enough for sub-zero temperatures.

Why is hot gas used when the upper limit is positive?

Because the setting drops to –2°C and the evaporator works below zero. The HBP version, which starts at +2°C, already thaws by compressor off-cycle.

Does the 342 W** value refer to continuous operation?

That is the refrigeration capacity under the measurement conditions adopted by the manufacturer. In a cabinet the appliance works cyclically, so the average output over 24 hours is lower.
