Monoblocks for cold rooms (R290, -5°C / +5°C) – wall-mounted MBP-KOB-M – how to choose the right one
MBP-KOS-M-SA is a ceiling monoblock for cold rooms, working within a range of –5°C / +5°C on R290 refrigerant. Mounting it under the ceiling of the cold room leaves the side panels entirely free for fitting out.
The band from –5°C to +5°C covers most cold store applications: dairy, vegetables, packaged products and raw materials that need a temperature just above zero. The freezer version from the same family, marked with the letter L, goes considerably lower.
Selection is based on the volume of the cold room, the thickness of the insulation and what will be put into it. A store fed daily with warm goods loads the system differently from a cold room in which the product merely waits to be issued.

Ask a questionWill a single appliance hold a temperature close to zero?
Yes, the –5°C / +5°C band covers that operating point. The set value is held by the cold room controller, and stability also depends on how well the door seals and how often people go in.
How much room has to be left under the appliance?
A ceiling monoblock needs space for the air discharge and for service access, so the height of the cold room is planned together with its installation. We give the dimensions of the specific version during selection.
Can such a cold room be converted to a freezer room later?
That calls for both a different appliance and thicker panel insulation. So if a change of use is planned, it is better to consider the dual-range version, made to order, from the outset.
