Adjustable leg (40x40 mm) SR-40x40NS_ – how to choose the right one
SR-40x40NS is an adjustable leg for a 40 × 40 mm profile, with a body cast in zinc-aluminium alloy and an adjustment part in AISI-304 stainless steel. It carries 400 kg on three pieces, with adjustment within a band from 37 to 65 mm.
Twenty-eight millimetres of movement is the most in this family – the NT and FL versions end at 64 mm from the same starting point, so the difference is small, but in practice it is sometimes the one millimetre missing when modules are lined up into a run.
A stainless thread matters in plants where the floor is hosed down. It is what decides whether the appliance can be readjusted after several years in service.

NT has the higher load rating – 500 kg against 400 kg – but is entirely in ZnAl alloy. NS is chosen where durability of the thread in damp conditions matters more than the extra hundred kilograms.
Does the thread of the leg need maintenance?
Stainless steel needs no anti-corrosion protection. It is worth checking during an inspection, though, whether deposits are collecting under the base and blocking the movement of the stem.
