Threaded adjustable leg SR-C – how to choose the right one

SR-C is an adjustable leg made entirely of black ABS, with an M12 thread and a load capacity declared at 400 kg as a set of three. It has no metal parts, so there is also no place in which corrosion could occur.

ABS is a rigid plastic with a smooth surface. It proves itself where the leg is visible and is meant to look tidy; it fares worse where it regularly takes knocks from transport trolleys and pallets.

A plastic thread is screwed in without excessive force. Driving it home with a spanner risks damaging the threads, which practically never happens with a steel stem – that is the main difference in handling this leg.

How to match the leg to the profile, the load and the unevenness of the floor – we explained it in the selection guide for this category.

Where it works

  • Furniture and display cases in which the leg stays in view
  • Light structures of known mass, fitting within the declared 400 kg
  • Installations with an M12 socket, where there is no need to use metal
  • Places where we want to rule out rusty streaks

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have not found your answer? Give the profile, the load and the adjustment range – we will select the leg.

Ask a question
Will ABS survive in a room washed down with water?

The plastic itself does not react to water and does not lose its appearance because of it – this is where ABS beats galvanising. The limit here is mechanical resistance, not moisture: a blow to a plastic foot does more damage than to a steel one.

How should a plastic leg be screwed in so as not to damage it?

By hand, up to the stop, without driving it home with a tool. If the stem goes in stiffly, the cause is usually a dirty or damaged socket, not the leg itself.
