KZ-GNPFR12 is a polypropylene drainer insert for a GN 1/2 Gastronorm container, with a 325 × 265 mm footprint. A half format that already holds a batch of product prepared for a whole service.
This size works well for draining after washing. Vegetables or herbs taken out of water are left on the insert for ten to fifteen minutes, and the water drains underneath instead of pooling at the base and returning to the product every time the container is moved.
Area has a practical significance here: the more widely the product is spread out, the more of its surface drains freely. The same amount piled up on a small insert drains unevenly and more slowly.

Yes, this is one of its basic applications. Water drains beneath the drainer and does not return to the product, so the raw material dries evenly across its whole surface.
How many 1/2 drainers fit into a full field?
Two, the same as containers of this format. Each works in a separate vessel, so two batches of raw material drain at the same time without mixing.
Does polypropylene withstand dishwasher washing?
It withstands machine washing in typical cycles, but does not tolerate high temperatures well. For the hottest programmes and for heat treatment, steel equipment is chosen instead.
