Drain 5 1/2" KZ-D11A-Odpływ 5 1/2" – how to choose the right one
KZ-D11A is a screw-fitted drain with a 5 1/2 inch flange and a 1 1/2 inch connection, made of stainless steel with PVC components. In terms of the size of the opening it is the most capacious item in the group.
Five and a half inches is chosen where large quantities of residue reach the bowl at once – after peeling, after washing pots with contents baked on, after washing down oven loads. A strainer of that diameter takes them without blocking immediately.
The price of this solution is room in the bowl. A cut-out of that diameter takes up a good deal of the base, so not every workstation can be converted to it after the event.

Not directly – the pace is decided by the connection, which is 1 1/2 inch here. What grows is the capacity for residue, so the drain works longer without blocking.
Can such a hole be cut in an existing bowl?
It is sometimes possible, but it requires an assessment of the base of the bowl and the room around it. With smaller sinks a 5 1/2 inch cut-out takes up so much area that it is more sensible to stay with the 3 1/2 inch variant.
