Drain KP-CL – how to choose the right one
The KP-CL is a black nylon drain with a 1/2" thread, supplied with a nut of the same material and a rubber gasket. It works in the pans of refrigerated furniture and units.
This model is worth considering alongside the KP-CC. The manufacturer carries both items separately, though the documentation does not tell them apart by size or material - the practical difference most likely lies in the body shape, which the datasheet does not describe.
From a selection standpoint this means one thing: if you are replacing a part in a working unit, copy the code from the old part. If you are building from scratch, the thread and opening diameter alone decide.

When reproducing an existing installation, always the one that was there before. In a new construction the difference has no practical significance – both drain the same amount of water through the same thread.
Is nylon suitable for low temperatures?
The datasheet does not state a working range for it, so we do not declare limits on the manufacturer's behalf. In typical refrigeration applications this plastic has proven itself for years, but for freezer-duty use it is worth confirming before ordering.
