Drain KP-M – how to choose the right one
KP-M is a drain made of white nylon with a 3/4" thread, supplied together with a nut and a rubber seal. It collects water from the basin of a refrigeration unit.
Three-quarters of an inch is an intermediate size in this range: larger than the half-inch nylon drains, smaller than the polypropylene KP-CC-32 family and larger sizes. It works well in units with a regular defrost cycle, where water comes down in bursts rather than drops.
The white body is sometimes chosen deliberately: in a light-coloured plastic basin the part does not stand out, while any dirt on it that needs removing during cleaning is still easy to spot.

Ask a questionWhen is half an inch not enough?
When water from the run-off cannot drain away fast enough and rises in the basin after every defrost. Switching to three-quarters of an inch is then simpler than changing the whole drainage geometry.
Does this drain differ in any way from KP-ML?
The documentation describes both identically – the same nylon, the same colour, the same thread. Only the part numbers are separate, so when ordering a replacement part you need to stick to the symbol from the appliance.
