Shim KK-520/521 17mm – how to choose the right one
The 17 mm spacer for KK-520/521 handles is an optional composite part, whose job is to set the fitting's body back from the door surface. The manufacturer lists it in the handle descriptions as an additional item.
The spacer is useful when the geometry of the door and frame does not let the handle sit flush, or when the bolt does not reach the catch at the right depth. Instead of reworking the leaf, a calibrated layer of a known thickness is added.
The value is fixed at seventeen millimetres - there is no adjustment here, so the spacer either solves the problem or it does not. It is worth measuring the missing gap before ordering.
