Gastronorm container 325x132x150 mm (stainless steel) KZ-GN2815 – how to choose the right one

The KZ-GN2815 gastronorm container is stainless steel in the GN 2/8 format, measuring 325 × 132 mm and 150 mm deep, with a capacity of 4.2 l. The narrow footprint combined with a high wall gives a container whose proportions are closer to a trough than a well.

Over four litres in such a narrow container makes for an exceptionally tall layer. This lets the product hold its temperature for a long time, but stirring requires a tool with a longer handle, since an ordinary spoon does not reach the bottom without dipping in a hand.

This format is usually chosen when the line is short on width, not volume. Instead of widening the station with another field, depth is added at a spot that is already occupied.

What the GN sizes mean and how to choose the depth – we explained it in the selection guide for this category.

Where it works

  • Sauces and marinades at stations with limited worktop width
  • A stock of product on the line where there is no room for another GN field
  • Dishes in sauce served from a narrow heated counter
  • Storing liquid semi-finished products in the cold room on GN runners

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have not found your answer? Give the GN size and the intended use – we will select the containers.

Ask a question
Does a depth of 150 mm not make dosing harder in such a narrow container?

It does, once the load is not full, which is why a ladle with a longer handle is used, and the container is replaced before it is emptied completely.

How much is that compared with the 100 mm version?

4.2 l instead of 2.7 l, so one and a half litres more with the same 325 × 132 mm footprint. The choice comes down to whether there is enough clearance in the equipment.

Is the container suitable for transport?

It is, but with a full liquid load it is worth covering it. A narrow, tall shape splashes more under braking than a flat container of the same capacity.
