The KZ-GN1310 gastronorm container has a GN 1/3 footprint, i.e. 325 × 176 mm, and a depth of 100 mm, giving 4.0 l. It is one of the basic sizes for a service line, large enough to carry a full menu item and still convenient to carry.
The three-way division of a GN 1/1 field matches the structure of a typical set meal well: meat, a starchy side and vegetables fit into one well, each in a separate container and in a portion for a longer stretch of the service.
A depth of one hundred millimetres keeps a reasonable proportion here. Four litres sit in a layer you can scoop from with a spoon right to the end, without reaching deep into a tall container.
What the GN sizes mean and how to choose the depth – we explained it in the selection guide for this category.

FAQ
Have not found your answer? Give the GN size and the intended use – we will select the containers.
Ask a questionThree, placed side by side along their shorter edge. A dimension of 176 mm multiplied by three gives 528 mm, the whole length of the field.
For a single item served in large quantities, yes – fewer containers mean fewer swaps and less washing up. Dividing into smaller containers only makes sense once there are more items than space.
Usually not – oven runners are designed for a full GN 1/1 field or a dividing frame. A 1/3 container is placed on a tray or in a frame designed for this division.
