Gastronorm container 325x176x100 mm (polycarbonate) KZ-GNT1310 – how to choose the right one

A polycarbonate GN 1/3 Gastronorm container has a 325 × 176 mm footprint, a height of 100 mm and a capacity of 3.3 l. A module split into three at this depth is the most common station configuration in kitchens serving several items in parallel.

A little over three litres is enough for several hours of serving one ingredient, and a ten-centimetre layer allows working with a ladle. Transparency adds the ability to check stock without taking the container out of its slot.

The same container then goes to the cold room, where, closed with a lid, it serves as a storage container. The cycle closes without transferring the product between containers.

What the GN sizes mean and how to choose the depth – we explained it in the selection guide for this category.

Where it works

  • Stations serving several items in parallel
  • Salad buffets with a counter split into three
  • Storing an ingredient after service ends
  • Trolleys and racks with GN 1/3 runners

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have not found your answer? Give the GN size and the intended use – we will select the containers.

Ask a question
How many portions of soup or sauce does 3.3 litres hold?

At a 250 ml portion, that's about thirteen portions from one fill. The last layer at the base usually doesn't go down in full, so in practice count a few less.

Can the container be placed in a slot alongside containers of a different material?

Yes, the GN 1/3 module has the same footprint regardless of material, so steel, polycarbonate and polypropylene containers can sit side by side in one counter.

How long will the transparency last with daily use?

Longest when washed with agents designed for plastics and when scrubbing the surface with abrasive sponges is avoided. Scratches from metal tools and strong chemicals are the two main causes of clouding.
