Gastronorm container 325x176x65 mm (polypropylene) KZ-GNP13065 – how to choose the right one

A GN 1/3 Gastronorm container measuring 325 × 176 mm and 65 mm deep holds 2.5 l. The elongated rectangle is placed in the counter with its short side facing the customer, so staff can scoop the ingredient along the container's whole length.

Two and a half litres spread over such a large area form a layer a few centimetres high. The whole product is visible, and the spoon reaches every corner without putting a hand inside – an advantage when serving and when washing.

Splitting a GN 1/1 module into three is the most common layout for heated and refrigerated counters in catering. At this depth, it works well in the cold section: salads, side dishes, chopped vegetables.

What the GN sizes mean and how to choose the depth – we explained it in the selection guide for this category.

Where it works

  • A refrigerated counter arranged with three items per module
  • Displaying salads and coleslaws in a self-service bar
  • Cooling portions prepared in advance
  • Refrigerated tables with GN 1/3 slots

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have not found your answer? Give the GN size and the intended use – we will select the containers.

Ask a question
Is the container suitable for a heated counter?

Steel is the safer choice in a bain-marie and heated counter, because plastic isn't designed for prolonged contact with high temperatures. This version is intended for the cold section.

How many portions of coleslaw does one fill give?

At a standard 100 g portion, that's about twenty-five portions, depending on the product's density. It's worth leaving ten to fifteen millimetres of margin below the rim so nothing spills while serving.

How should containers like this be arranged on a rack?

Empty ones nest inside each other and then take up a fraction of the height. Full ones are only stacked with the KZ-GNP13 lid, which transfers the weight onto the rim of the container below.
