Gastronorm container 325x176x65 mm (polycarbonate) KZ-GNT13065 – how to choose the right one
A polycarbonate GN 1/3 container measuring 325 × 176 mm and 65 mm deep holds 2.1 l. An elongated, shallow container with transparent walls is a basic element of a counter split into three, where every item needs to be fully visible.
Two litres spread over such a long footprint form a layer a few centimetres deep, so the product doesn't pack down at the base. For salads and coleslaws, this makes a difference in appearance after an hour on display.
A flat plastic container also releases heat the fastest, which is why it's sometimes used as an intermediate container: the product cools in it after processing, then moves on to storage containers.

Ask a questionDoes transparency matter in a display container?
Less so when displayed from above than in storage, but the wall shows how much product is left at the sides. In backlit counters, transparent containers also look cleaner than opaque ones.
Can the container be put in a bain-marie?
Steel containers are chosen for the heated section. The plastic version handles the same size in the cold sections, for preparation and storage.
How does it differ in capacity from a polypropylene GN 1/3 of the same height?
The polycarbonate one holds 2.1 l, the polypropylene one 2.5 l, despite identical external dimensions. When planning portions, it's worth using the value from the specific version's data sheet.
