Gastronorm container 325x265x100 mm (polycarbonate) KZ-GNT1210 – how to choose the right one

A polycarbonate GN 1/2 container measuring 325 × 265 mm and 100 mm high holds 5.5 l. In half a module, this depth is a working setup: it holds a whole batch of one ingredient, while still allowing the contents to be stirred without submerging a hand.

Transparency here mainly changes the way the cold room is run. Containers stand closed, and stock levels are read from the aisle between racks, without removing lids and letting the interior warm up.

Five and a half litres is an amount one person can comfortably carry from the production station to the cold room in a single trip. With larger batches, assembling a trolley load begins, which takes considerably more time.

What the GN sizes mean and how to choose the depth – we explained it in the selection guide for this category.

Where it works

  • Mixing and portioning fillings at the prep station
  • Daily batches of one ingredient in a cold cabinet
  • Stock checks carried out visually, without opening containers
  • Carrying semi-finished products between kitchen departments without a trolley

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have not found your answer? Give the GN size and the intended use – we will select the containers.

Ask a question
Is the container suitable for use with a hand blender?

Polycarbonate is hard, but contact between the spinning blade and the wall leaves scratches and speeds up clouding. For blending, it's better to use a steel container, and treat the polycarbonate one as storage for the finished mixture.

How many portions of sauce does one fill give?

At a 100 ml portion, that's about fifty portions from a full container. The last layer at the base rarely goes down in full, so for planning a service, it's worth using a slightly lower figure.

Does the content still need to be labelled regardless?

You can see what is inside, but not since when. The preparation date on the wall or the lid remains necessary regardless of whether the vessel is transparent.
