Gastronorm container 325x265x150 mm (polypropylene) KZ-GNP1215 – how to choose the right one
GN 1/2 at a depth of 150 mm is a container for 9.5 l with a 325 × 265 mm footprint. At this volume, the container works like a portable tank: it holds the output of several pots, while still sliding into standard GN runners.
Nine and a half litres is a typical batch of brine, stock or sauce prepared in advance in a kitchen serving several hundred meals a day. Instead of three containers on one shelf, there's one, labelled with a single date.
The weight of a full container exceeds nine kilograms, so the height at which it stands on the rack stops being irrelevant. Containers like this are kept at levels between hip and shoulder height, not overhead.

Ask a questionWill the container hold the weight of the contents when lifted by the rim?
Yes, but the pressure is then concentrated on a short stretch of wall. A full container is lifted by gripping two opposite sides, near the corners, not the middle of the longer edge.
Does the same lid fit this height as the shallow versions?
Yes – the lid rests on the rim, not the base, so a GN 1/2 at any depth accepts KZ-GNP12 or the polycarbonate KZ-GNT12.
How many of these containers fit in a cold cabinet?
Two per level in terms of surface area, and the number of levels is determined by the runner spacing. At 150 mm high, the container usually blocks the neighbouring runner, so the cabinet's actual capacity drops by roughly half.
