In brief
Prices and stock levels are in the B2B shop. When fitting out a whole back-of-house we quote the complete set.
A polycarbonate GN 1/2 container 150 mm deep is 8.3 l with a footprint of 325 × 265 mm. A vessel with this proportion already works as a reservoir: brine or pickling liquid is prepared in it, and the product is left in it for as long as the recipe requires.
For processes spread over several days, the transparent wall is a control tool. You can see whether the product has floated above the liquid, whether the brine stays clear, and whether sediment is collecting at the bottom, all without breaking the seal.
Over eight kilograms of full contents is carried with both hands, gripping the two shorter sides. A vessel without handles at this weight easily slips out of wet gloves, so it is better to place it at worktop height rather than on the top shelf.
What the GN sizes mean and how to choose the depth – we explained it in the selection guide for this category.

FAQ
Have not found your answer? Give the GN size and the intended use – we will select the containers.
Ask a questionThrough the wall you can see the level of the liquid, the colour of the brine, and whether pieces have floated to the top. It is only opened when something needs adjusting, not just to take a look.
The footprint fits every cabinet in the GN standard, but a height of 150 mm usually blocks the neighbouring runner level. When planning a load, what counts is the sum of the vessels' heights, not their number.
Polycarbonate does not react with brine or with the acid produced during fermentation. It is just worth weighting the product down so it stays under the liquid, through the transparent wall you can see straight away whether the weight is doing its job.
