Gastronorm container 325x265x200 mm (polypropylene) KZ-GNP1220 – how to choose the right one
A polypropylene GN 1/2 container 200 mm high holds 12.5 l. With a 325 × 265 mm footprint, it's the highest-capacity container that fits on half a standard level – three times more than the 65 mm version with an identical base.
A volume like this corresponds to the contents of a sizeable pot. In practice, it's used to store product prepared in bulk: marinades, pickled vegetables, vegetables in water, ready brines for decanting into smaller containers.
At twelve kilograms of load, the container is carried with both hands, and ideally over a short distance. For moving it around the kitchen, GN trolleys are used, into which this container slides like any other in this module.

Ask a questionAt this capacity, won't the container deform under the weight?
When correctly placed on a flat shelf or in runners, the weight is distributed across the base. Deformation tends to occur instead when a full container is lifted by one edge.
How do you cool a product before it goes into this container?
It's cooled beforehand in shallow containers, and only decanted into the deep one once it reaches cold room temperature. A hot load in a 20 cm layer takes too long to cool.
Can the container be closed for transport?
The KZ-GNP12 lid reduces splashing, but doesn't form a sealed closure. For transporting liquids, the container is filled to no more than three-quarters of its height.
