Gastronorm container 530x162x100 mm (stainless steel) KZ-GN2410 – how to choose the right one

The KZ-GN2410 Gastronorm container is a GN 2/4 format with a 530 × 162 mm footprint and a depth of 100 mm, made of stainless steel. At this wall height, it holds 6.0 litres of product.

The 2/4 format is long and narrow: it sits along the full length of a 1/1 opening and takes up half its width. This makes it possible to run two menu items in one bain-marie well without dividers and without leaving empty spaces.

A hundred millimetres is the depth at which a narrow format stops being a container just for side dishes. Six litres of sauce or stew is a stock for a longer stretch of service, not for a single top-up.

What the GN sizes mean and how to choose the depth – we explained it in the selection guide for this category.

Where it works

  • Multi-section bain-maries, where one well serves two menu items
  • Baking and regeneration in a combi steam oven on GN runners
  • Dishes in sauce or brine that can't be spread in a thin layer
  • Transporting finished production on a GN rail trolley

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have not found your answer? Give the GN size and the intended use – we will select the containers.

Ask a question
How many 2/4 containers fit in a GN 1/1 opening?

Two. Doubling the 162 mm width gives 324 mm, i.e. practically the entire width of the 1/1 field, and the 530 mm length is identical in both formats.

When is it better to reach for the 150 mm version?

When 6.0 l isn't enough for the serving cycle – the taller wall gives 9.0 l. In that case, the clearance above the well needs to be checked, since the container is 50 mm taller.

Which lid fits this container?

Any lid in the GN 2/4 size, i.e. 530 × 162 mm – in this range, that's KZ-GNC24. The lid's material doesn't have to match the container's material.
