Gastronorm container 530x325x100 mm (AISI-304) KZ-GN1110 – how to choose the right one

KZ-GN1110 is a steel gastronorm container in the basic GN 1/1 format with a footprint of 530 × 325 mm and a depth of 100 mm. It holds 14.0 litres, an amount worked out to serve one menu item through a whole service.

A hundred millimetres in a full field is the setup for a main course served with a ladle. The load does not run out halfway through a shift, and the layer is still low enough that the bottom is visible and it is easy to judge how much is left.

This size also sets the reference point for the rest of the range. Fractional formats describe parts of this area, so if a station has one 1/1 field, the choice comes down to whether to serve it with one container or split it into smaller ones.

What the GN sizes mean and how to choose the depth – we explained it in the selection guide for this category.

Where it works

  • Wells of bain-maries and warmers with a full GN 1/1 field
  • Main courses in sauce served throughout a service
  • Heated tables at banquets and in canteens
  • Large batches of product carried from the kitchen to the line in a single container

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have not found your answer? Give the GN size and the intended use – we will select the containers.

Ask a question
Is 14.0 l enough for a full service?

For a single main course, usually yes, since this is the largest-capacity variant that can still be handled comfortably with a ladle. At busier times a second container is kept ready rather than reaching for a deeper one.

How does it differ from the 65 mm version?

In capacity: 9.0 l versus 14.0 l, with an identical 530 × 325 mm footprint. A taller wall means fewer top-ups, but also a heavier full container.

Which lid fits the 1/1 format?

Any measuring 530 × 325 mm, in this range the steel KZ-GNC11 or the silicone KZ-GNS11. The depth of the container does not matter here, only the GN size counts.
