Gastronorm container 530x325x200 mm (AISI-304) KZ-GN1120 – how to choose the right one
KZ-GN1120 is a steel GN 1/1 gastronorm container measuring 530 × 325 mm and 200 mm deep, with a capacity of 28.0 litres. The tallest wall found in the gastronorm standard.
This size is bought for volume, not for ease of service. Twenty-eight litres is a production stock, a ladle already struggles to reach the bottom of a container like this, so it is rarely used on the line.
As a working container, though, it replaces several smaller ones. One batch in one container means one label, one wash and one spot in the cold room instead of three.

Only into equipment with a deep well, most bain-maries are designed for 100 or 150 mm. The height needs to be checked in the equipment's specifications, since the GN footprint guarantees nothing here.
How much does a full container weigh?
For a product with a density close to water, around twenty-eight kilograms of load plus its own weight. That is a weight for wheeling, not for carrying.
At this depth, is it worth reaching for two shallower containers instead?
If the product is to be cooled or served, yes, two 100 mm containers are easier to handle. One deep one wins where cold-room space and the number of containers to wash matter.
