Does a 1/6 lid fit a 1/9 container?
No, it will be too wide and will not sit evenly on the rim. Every GN size has its own lid with exactly the same footprint as the container.
How many 1/6 lids replace one 1/3?
Two, since two 1/6 containers placed side by side take up the area of one 1/3 field. Each is closed separately, which is convenient for different ingredients.
