The lid for a GN 1/6 gastronorm container has a footprint of 176 × 162 mm and is made of polypropylene. It fits over the rim of the vessel, so a single model serves the whole family of containers of this size, from the shallow 65 mm variant to the tall 200 mm one.
At stations with many inserts, lids decide how much work is left at the end of a shift. Instead of transferring toppings into other vessels, they are closed in the same container and put into the cold room.
It is worth ordering lids in a quantity matching the containers in rotation, not for one-off use, a set in which half the vessels have nothing to be closed with just brings back the problem of using cling film.

Yes, with standard programmes. It is worth securing the thin plastic item in the basket, since the jet of water can lift it and knock it over onto other vessels.
Will the lid bear the weight of a container placed on top of it?
When stacking, the weight is carried through the edges, not through the middle of the panel, so one vessel on top of another is a typical situation. It is better, though, not to build tall towers of full containers.
How does it differ from the polycarbonate lid of this size?
In material and transparency, KZ-GNT16 lets you see the contents without opening it, KZ-GNP16 does not. The fit to the container is identical in both cases.
