Lid for a gastronorm container 265x162 mm (polypropylene) KZ-GNP14 – how to choose the right one

The polypropylene GN 1/4 lid fits over an edge with a footprint of 265 × 162 mm. One size serves containers with a depth of 65, 100, 150 and 200 mm, since the fit is at the rim, not at the wall height.

A quarter module is a working unit in buffets and catering, and the lid turns an open display vessel into a closed transport container. The same load travels to the venue, is uncovered and laid out without being transferred.

Once service has finished, the lid limits the product drying out in the cold room. This matters especially for sliced vegetables and cold cuts, which lose their appearance within a few hours in an open vessel.

What the GN sizes mean and how to choose the depth – we explained it in the selection guide for this category.

Where it works

  • Transporting catering loads in the GN 1/4 module
  • Closing buffet vessels once service has finished
  • Stacking containers on a trolley and on a rack
  • Protecting sliced ingredients from drying out

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have not found your answer? Give the GN size and the intended use – we will select the containers.

Ask a question
Does the lid stay on the container while being moved on a trolley?

It fits over the rim and stays in place during gentle transport over a flat surface. When carrying liquids, it is also better not to fill the vessel to the top.

Is one lid enough for several containers in rotation?

When rotating two vessels for the same well, two lids are needed, since the second container waits in the cold room already closed. The number of lids is matched to the number of filled vessels, not to the number of wells.

Can a container of a different size be placed on it?

It can, as long as its edges rest on the panel rather than hanging over a gap. It is most stable with vessels of the same GN module, stacked one on top of another.
