The KZ-GNC28 lid covers gastronorm containers in the GN 2/8 size, with a footprint of 325 × 132 mm. Made of stainless steel, it rests on the rim of the container and fits every wall height in this format.

It is a narrow field with a footprint of 325 × 132 mm, placed across a full well. Two such containers side by side take up a strip 264 mm wide, almost as much as a single 1/2 field.
Will a 1/4 or 1/6 lid work as a substitute?
No, each of these sizes has a different footprint and will either sit crooked or not rest on the rim at all. Interchangeability within the gastronorm standard applies to equipment, not to the lids themselves.
Does the lid change with the depth of the container?
No. The rim of a 2/8 container is shaped the same way across the whole range of heights, so the same lid serves both a shallow and a tall container.
