Lid for a gastronorm container 325x265 mm (stainless steel) KZ-GNC12 – how to choose the right one
KZ-GNC12 is a steel lid for a gastronorm container in the GN 1/2 size, measuring 325 × 265 mm. A 1/2 field is the simplest way to split a full well into two equal parts, and the lid works with every depth of it.
Splitting into halves is the default setup in a kitchen: one well, two menu items, with no need to work out whether something fits. The lid then lets you close the half that is not currently being served, instead of leaving the whole field open.
A footprint of 325 × 265 mm is already large enough that the lid is gripped by the edge rather than the middle. When taken off a warm container, condensation then runs down the underside back into the well rather than onto the worktop.

Two, placed with their longer sides against each other. Adding the widths, 2 × 265 mm, gives 530 mm, the full length of a 1/1 field.
Will a 1/2 lid replace a 2/4 lid?
No. Both formats are half of a 1/1 field, but they divide it differently: 1/2 has a footprint of 325 × 265 mm, while 2/4 is a narrow 530 × 162 mm.
How should a lid be removed from a hot container?
By lifting it away from you at a slight angle, so the steam escapes in the other direction. Condensation then runs back into the container instead of dripping onto the edge of the well.
