Lid for a gastronorm container 325x265 mm (polypropylene) KZ-GNP12 – how to choose the right one
The polypropylene GN 1/2 lid fits over an edge with a footprint of 325 × 265 mm. The near-square shape of the panel is convenient in cold rooms with racks, since the vessels can be turned ninety degrees and still fit within the same outline.
For containers holding several to a dozen or so litres, closing them matters not only for hygiene but practically too, it limits splashing when moved by trolley over an uneven floor. Vessels with liquid are then filled to no more than three-quarters of their height.
The lid does not replace labelling the contents. With opaque plastic, the date and product name on the wall are the only information about what is on the shelf.

Ask a questionWill the lid withstand freezer temperatures?
Polypropylene withstands frost, so a closed vessel can stand in a freezer. Removing the lid after freezing can be harder, since frost can freeze it to the edge of the container.
Will one lid serve containers of different depths?
Yes, the whole GN 1/2 family has the same rim. The same lid fits a 4-litre vessel and a 12.5-litre one.
How should lids be stored so they do not take up space?
Most simply flat, in a stack on a separate shelf or in a basket with a divider. Stood vertically between containers, they fall over easily and get lost in the shift-based circuit.
