KZ-GNS12 is a silicone lid for a GN 1/2 gastronorm container measuring 325 × 265 mm, made of MVQ silicone rubber. A flexible closure for storing and transporting contents in the half format.
On a surface this size, how well the edge seals starts to genuinely change the state of the product. Salad or cut vegetables lose moisture over their whole exposed surface, not just at the edges, the more tightly the container is closed, the smaller the difference in appearance the next day.

Ask a questionCan containers with a silicone lid be stacked?
It's not designed for that – the flexible material bends under the weight of the container on top. For stacked storage, a steel lid of the same size is used.
Doesn't the silicone in the 1/2 size deform when removed?
Silicone rubber returns to its shape after removal. With a larger surface, it's more convenient to pull one corner and remove the closure with a diagonal motion, instead of pulling from the centre.
What is a silicone lid better suited to than a steel one?
Anything that sits in the cold room for more than a few hours or travels on a trolley. Steel wins where heat is involved and where weight is placed on top.
