KZ-GNC21 is a steel lid for a Gastronorm container in the GN 2/1 size, measuring 650 × 530 mm. The largest field in the Gastronorm standard, found in banqueting equipment and high-production kitchens.
The 2/1 field appears where a station needs to handle one item in very large quantities. Instead of two 1/1 containers, there's one, and with it one lid – fewer items to remove during serving and fewer joints through which heat escapes.
It's worth bearing in mind, though, that there's far less equipment in this format than in 1/1. A 2/1 lid only makes sense as part of a set with a bain-marie, trolley or oven whose runners are spaced for this size.

Two. The 650 mm width is double 325 mm, and the 530 mm length is the same in both formats, except that in the 1/1 field it serves as the longer side.
Can two 1/1 lids be used instead of a 2/1 lid?
They won't rest on the rim the way a one-piece closure does – there's no divider in the middle of a 2/1 container for them to meet on. The 2/1 format requires its own lid.
Will every bain-marie accept a 2/1 container?
No, equipment with a field of this size is needed. Most lines are built around the 1/1 field and its fractions, so whether 2/1 is present should be checked in the equipment's specifications.
