A stainless steel lid for a GN 2/1 Gastronorm container, measuring 650 × 530 mm. A closure for the standard's largest field, intended for containers working at high-throughput stations.
Handling this size differs from the others mainly in its dimensions. A sheet with a 650 mm side is picked up with both hands, and when fitting it onto a full container, it's worth having clear space beside the well, since it's set down flat rather than leant against the edge.
Washing also requires planning. Neither side fits in a 500 × 500 mm basket, so the lid goes into a tunnel dishwasher or is washed by hand in a sink of suitable length – the same as the 2/1 container itself.

Where should a lid of this size be stored?
Ideally upright, leaning against the wall of a rack or in a compartment for sheets. Laid flat on a stack of smaller closures, its edges hang in the air and it's easy to bend.
Can one person handle a 2/1 container with its lid?
Removing and fitting the lid alone, yes, but with both hands. Carrying a full 2/1 container is already a task for two people or a trolley.
