Wire shelf (530x325 mm) stainless KP-PI-GN 1/1 EL (AISI-201) 6.79 mm – how to choose the right one
The KP-PI-GN wire shelf has an outer dimension of 530 × 325 mm, i.e. the GN 1/1 module, and is made of AISI-201 stainless steel. It fits wherever storage and display are planned around gastronorm containers.
AISI-201 is a grade in which part of the nickel has been replaced with manganese. It costs less than AISI-304 and copes well inside the humid interior of refrigeration equipment, but it is more sensitive to washing with chlorine-based agents, under a sanitising regime like that it makes more sense to reach for the AISI-304 version.
The GN format brings order to the back of house. A shelf with an outline matching the container leaves no jammed gaps that small items can fall into, and the stacking height is set by the container itself, not by staff improvisation.

Ask a questionIs 530 × 325 mm the shelf's dimension, or the clearance inside the unit?
It is the outer dimension of the shelf itself. The clearance between the runners has to be slightly larger than that, so it is worth measuring the inside of the cabinet before ordering.
How does AISI-201 differ from AISI-304 in everyday use?
The difference shows up with chemicals and salt. In a cold room for vegetables or drinks, 201 works without any reservations; in contact with brine or cured meat, 304 has the advantage.
