Profile – PU-226 + PU-227 – how to choose the right one
PU-226 and PU-227 are a pair of body profiles with two spaces for heating cables and a magnetic slot. The catalogue version is rigid PVC in grey.
Two channels instead of one answer the case of frames where a single length of cable doesn't close the heat balance. Splitting the power across two cables heats the frame more evenly than raising a single cable's power, and it also gives a margin: the second circuit can be switched on only once the unit moves to a lower working temperature.
A cross-section like this is chosen most often in freezer applications, where the temperature difference across the frame is greatest and the gasket picks up frost fastest.
