Profile PUP-506 grey (3.25 m) – how to choose the right one
PUP-506 is a grey rigid PVC profile supplied in lengths of 3.25 metres. It belongs to the group of components that separate the cold and the warm side of a structure.
Three and a quarter metres is not a length that comes from rounding. Formats like this usually derive from the dimension of the unit the profile was originally designed for – and that is a hint when selecting: if your structure has a similar module, you have probably found the right item number.
The absence of a RAL number means that when it is combined with other components the shade has to be compared on a sample. There are many technical greys and the difference between two neighbouring shades only shows where two components meet.

Rigid PVC cuts without trouble with a plastics saw, so shortening the profile is no obstacle. It is worth working out the cutting plan in advance, though, because with a non-standard length the offcuts can be hard to use.
Will PUP-506 replace PU-440 in the same structure?
There are no grounds for assuming so – a different designation means a different cross-section, and in this group the profile has to fit the interlock of a specific joint. A replacement is not selected on material and colour alone.
