PVC reducer (2"x1 1/2") KZ-Y006 – how to choose the right one
The KZ-Y006 reducer, made of plastic, goes from 2 inch to 1 1/2 inch. It is the simplest way to connect a bowl with a wide drain to a narrower connection point, without interfering with the pipework under the worktop.
A narrowing of the cross-section is always worth thinking through. The place where the pipe narrows is the first point at which grease and scraps collect, so at a station washing pots it is better to consider altering the connection point than a permanent reducer.
If the narrowing is unavoidable, planning access helps: the joint should be possible to undo without dismantling the whole trap. Clearing a blockage then takes a few minutes instead of half an hour.
