Roller Ø24 mm (polyamide/stainless) KP-AC-1008 – how to choose the right one
The KP-AC-1008 roller has a polyamide wheel 24 mm in diameter set in a stainless steel bush. What sets it apart is the housing material – the other rollers of this size have a galvanised body.
The difference only shows after a few months of work in wet conditions. Galvanising holds out until the coating is rubbed through, whereas stainless steel has no layer that could be breached – and it is the one that stays serviceable where condensate constantly collects in the guide rail.
A plain bush without a bearing has the opposite advantage. There are no balls in it that could seize from dirt, so the design copes better with a track that nobody cleans regularly.

In a dry room the difference will not be visible for years. In a wet area, or on equipment with dew on the guide rail, it pays for itself at the first replacement avoided.
Is a bush-mounted roller worse than a bearing-mounted one?
It is simply different: it offers more resistance at start-up, but cares less about dirt in the track. With leaves opened less often this solution can last longer.
