Roller KP-AC-2585, 25 mm in diameter, is made of galvanised steel and fitted with a ball bearing. Unlike the other items it has no polyamide wheel – it is metal that runs along the rail.
Metal on metal carries a higher load and does not deform under weight, but it is noisier and wears the rail faster if the rail is soft. This is a solution for places where strength matters more than comfort of use.
The pairing of materials is worth keeping in mind too. A steel roller in an aluminium slide will wear the slide above all, so the durability of the fitting has to be judged across the whole assembly, not the roller alone.

Is galvanising enough in a damp room?
For as long as the coating stays intact. The tread wears away where it meets the rail, so that is exactly where the protection disappears first.
